The Semi-Annual CVS Beauty Clearance

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year”  Yes, I am aware that Christmas is now over.  However, it’s still a wonderful time of year because it’s time for the Semi-Annual CVS Beauty Clearance sale!  (I totally made that name up).  It does seem to come up about twice a year that CVS puts a large selection of their cosmetics on clearance, anywhere from 50-75% off.  I haven’t been in CVS in a little bit, so I didn’t know the clearance was coming back.  Thanks to the lovely and talented G of Nouveau Cheap, I learned that it was on!

Naturally, I ran to my nearest CVS to check out the goodies.  On clearance were tons of products from nearly every drugstore brand cosmetic line.  Revlon, L’Oreal, Neutrogena, Almay, Maybelline, the list goes on!  Nouveau Cheap has the most thorough listing that I’m aware of, so check out her blog and see what’s on sale!

There weren’t too many things that I just had to have this time around, and that’s OK with me, you know, with the post-Christmas budget crunch and all.  So I picked up a few goodies, and am very happy with my purchase!  Check out what I got!

Look at all the pretty colors! (Excuse my rapidly decaying manicure!)

I picked up:

• Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Pink Afterglow (the bottom one) and Firecracker (the top one)
• Rimmel Lasting Lipstick in #166 Temptation (a backup for one of my fave red lipsticks) and #124 Bordeaux (a dark, vampy burgundy-plum shade)
• Revlon 3D Extreme mascara  (I may go get a few more as backups, this is a really nice mascara)
• Physician’s Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow and Liner (say THAT three times fast!) POP Collection to Enhance Blue Eyes.

I paid $13.90 for all of that, and SAVED $39!  No coupons or anything!
