I’m starting what I hope will be an ongoing weekly series, sharing how to be, well, Frugally Fabulous! I’ll be focusing on frugal beauty and fashion tips, from cosmetics, skincare, dressing well, haircare, all that jazz.
I know that looking good is important to a lot of people. It’s not vanity, but just an extra boost of self-confidence when you know you look your best. I know that I always feel much better when I have taken the time to fix myself up nicely. Unfortunately, this can sometimes be a strain on the budget. However, it doesn’t have to be! So to start off the series, I’d like to talk about one of my favorite topics in the world…makeup!
I’ve used a VERY popular brand of mineral makeup for about 5 years now. It’s my one big vice. I love it, and I think it’s amazing. But I recently discovered a less expensive alternative that I think is just as fabulous! I found a website called The All Natural Face. This is a company run by a lovely woman who formulates and creates her own all-natural (duh) cosmetics and beauty products. The range of products on her website is nothing short of amazing! So far, I’ve only tried her eyeshadows and foundation, but I am totally impressed. I own about 8 of her shadows, and the color payoff is amazing, and they last all day on me without creasing. I’m going to try and add a photo soon with swatches of the colors I own. She is very generous with samples as well, which is how I came to try her foundation. I found my perfect shade, which is Porcelain Goddess. (FYI, she’s running a special on her foundations ALL MONTH!) My big-name foundation sells for $25. The All Natural Face sells the same size for only $16! That’s a big savings!
Like I said before, she has an amazing assortment of products on her site, from hydration mists to wrinkle serums! Next on my “must-try” list are her amazing looking gel eyeliner pots. I can’t wait to get some of those in my hot little hands! I’ve been trying to make more of an effort to use natural products as of late, so her site is a great resource for me to look super cute while staying on a budget AND using less chemicals!
