My beloved filled my van with gas this morning, as he is using it for work until his wonderful-on-gas (no lie!) truck is done being worked on.
It cost just over $53!! I almost passed out! I’m racking my brain trying to think of ways to NOT drive. Thankfully, I live in an area where I can walk to MANY places. Post Office, Drug Store, Grocery Store, Water Ice Stand (v. important!), I can even walk to work!
I definitely need to start walking more! It will be good for my wallet, the environment, and my rearend!! (Yes, I’m slightly fluffy and have a few pounds to lose)
I also need to empty all the stuff out of my car, get an oil change/tuneup, and check on the tire pressure, I think it’s a bit low. What are some other ways you are helping to get your mileage up there? I drive an ‘05 Toyota Sienna, and my last fillup, I only got TWELVE miles per gallon! TWELVE! Granted, I only do short city trips, barely ANY highway, and that tank did last me over three weeks, but I hafta be able to get better mileage that THAT! A Hummer gets better mileage!!
So, dear frugalistas, let me know what else I can do to increase my gas mileage!
